About Lisa

My Beliefs:

● Understanding how much food your body needs creates freedom—not restriction.

● There’s no finish line with healthy eating—what you practice should work for life.

● Weight loss medications like GLP-1s can be a powerful tool, and coaching supports you whether you use them or not.

● Labeling food—or yourself—as “good” or “bad” gets in the way of real progress.

● Every body is different. What works for you might look different than someone else, and that’s exactly how it should be.

My Teachings:

  • How to live and eat in the real world, where food is everywhere and not always about nutrition.
  • How to love (or just like!) your body now and make choices that support it—no matter your weight.
  • How to adjust your eating for GLP-1 medications, manage side effects, and feel your best.
  • How to understand food and nutrition: macronutrients, food labels, fiber, protein needs and portions.
  • How to enjoy food without using it to avoid emotions, feel confident at any table—home, social events and family dinners alike!

My Education:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Performance from Brigham Young University
Certified Life Coach and Weight Coach: The Life Coach School
● Certified Health Coach: Institute for Integrative Nutrition

MY STORY:

I’ve struggled with weight and body image for most of my life. From a young age, I got the message that I needed to be “just a little thinner.” Comments from teachers, coaches, and even well-meaning family shaped how I saw myself. I tried all kinds of plans—Herbalife, SlimFast, calorie counting, South Beach (twice!), exercise harder so I could eat more, or just give up and forget it all.

After years of yo-yo dieting and chasing quick fixes, I realized the problem wasn’t just my weight—it was the way I was thinking. I believed that if I looked better, I’d feel better. But the real shift happened when I stopped waiting for a “better” body and started working on a better relationship with food and myself.

That’s what I help my clients do now: eat in a way that’s balanced, doable, and enjoyable—whether you’re using GLP-1 medication or not. You don’t have to hate your body to want to take care of it. And yes, you can love it now and still have goals.

Is my body perfect? Yes—for me. It’s strong, healthy, and gets me through the life I love. That matters more than what it looks like in a pair of jeans.
